Job Description

A leading manufacturing company is hiring a Lead Wiring Diagram Designer to support their electrical engineering team. Located remotely, this full-time opportunity involves overseeing a wiring design group to ensure the quality and timeliness of point-to-point diagrams and panel layouts. Lead Wiring Diagram Designer Responsibilities:

Manage the production of precise wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and support drawings using AutoCAD and BPP tools. Distribute and balance drawing tasks among team members based on project priorities and individual workloads. Review team outputs to verify accuracy, compliance, and completeness before release. Identify common errors and knowledge gaps, then formulate targeted training and documentation. Maintain BPP standards, including layer naming, block usage, wire tagging, and annotation conventions, updating them as needed.

Lead Wiring Diagram Designer Qualifications:

At least 6 years of experience creating wiring diagrams and control panel layouts in industrial or power distribution settings. Minimum of 2 years leading or supervising a team of drafters or designers. Proficiency in AutoCAD with expertise in tool palettes, custom/dynamic blocks, and standards. Strong ability to interpret schematics, single-line diagrams, and customer specifications. Working knowledge of

NEC, UL 891, UL

1558, and

ANSI/IEEE
