Gallery Asociate, On Call Creativity Explored San Francisco, CA Job Details Part-time $23.50 an hour 12 hours ago Benefits Paid sick time Qualifications Customer communication Data management Managing projects Productivity software Full Job Description As Gallery Associate, On Call, you'll be a welcoming presence in CE's gallery and at sales events, providing exceptional customer service during onsite and offsite exhibitions, pop-ups, and openings. You'll run our point-of-sale, keep the sales space safe and inviting, oversee scheduled volunteers, and support the Gallery and Exhibitions Team across retail and sales operations. We do this by placing the work, needs, culture, and experience of artists with developmental disabilities at the center of the community in a way that honors humanity, respects self-agency, and nurtures creative potential. We manage art studio spaces in the Mission and Potrero Hill neighborhoods.

$23.50/hr

Location:
Principally at 3245 16th Street, San Francisco, with frequent off-site work
Schedule:
On-call; variable hours up to 10 per month, generally Thursday through

What You'll Do Deliver extraordinary customer service and support direct art sales, onsite and off-site Open, operate, and close the gallery following established procedures Support gallery openings and events, including set-up, purchase lines, sales, and closing Assist with pricing, filing art, and product inventory Provide administrative and clerical support, including artwork database updates Oversee scheduled volunteers and maintain a clean, professional sales space Other duties as assigned What You Bring 1+ year of gallery or retail experience A strong connection to CE's mission and ability to advocate for CE artists' self-identified needs Outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills Strong data and project management skills Proficiency with Google Suite and basic office practices Excellent customer relations, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with discretion Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Preferred Fine arts education To Apply Submit your application through the link below. Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.
