Job Description

Description The Waldinger Corporation has an opportunity for a qualified VDC Specialist II to operate in either our Des Moines, IA or Wichita KS Office.
Job Summary:
Supports VDC Group, specifically Detailers, in the development of BIM models and drawings for construction projects. Oversees and guides the work of other team members as needed.
Responsibilities:
Modeling:
Assists with modeling efforts of all trades by coordinating and revising models as needed. Creates precise 3D representations of equipment and specialty items to be used in the model. Works under the direction of craft team members to assist in other modeling efforts as requested.
Shop and Field Drawings:
Creates templates to be used for shop drawings that incorporate Waldinger standards. Communicates with construction team to keep track of upcoming field drawings needed. Produces field drawings incorporating the input from craft team members. Produces assembly maps as needed for projects.
Field Layout:
Utilizes the model to create point files to be used for field layout purposes. Owns the process of renaming, renumbering, and organizing points and their output files. Utilizes site information to create control points needed for field layout. Creates point drawings for field to utilize during installation.
Labor Tracking:
Maintains accurate scheduling and prioritization of activities for assigned workload, recording time, allowing for accurate labor feedback tracking.
Requirements:
3-5 years of drafting or design experience Associate's Degree or Revit/CAD certification
