Details This role is responsible for building, painting, and integrating tech into interactive elements that bring escape room experiences to life. This role combines creativity, technical expertise, and hands-on skills to craft props, puzzles, scenic elements, and mechanical systems that enhance storytelling and player engagement. Duties & Responsibilities Build props in woodshop Paint props in Finishing Apply graphics to props Integrate tech into props Test props Keys to success Is hardworking Possesses both verbal and written communication skills Is punctual Excellent time management Have an understanding of common trades such as framing, cabinet installation, and light electrical Be able to work well within a team Is cost-conscious Has the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Demonstrates logical reasoning and thoughtful insights when it comes to problem-solving Qualification Requirements Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years in a production/construction environment A basic understanding of low voltage tech A clean criminal background Must be able to travel domestically and internationally Valid driver's license Pay and Benefits Full-time Hourly Non-Exempt 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM Monday through Friday (Overtime is a possibility based on production timelines and deadlines) Medical, dental, vision, life, ancillary, & pet insurance coverage opportunities available Financial wellness program available Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401K opportunities available (Standard Safe Harbor Match) Employee Discount Program Generous PTO Plan Parental time for the birth or adoption of a child Several paid holidays (for full-time employees) Paid Volunteer Time Off to serve at a 501(c)3 charitable organization on behalf of the company Onsite fitness facility
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience This position is onsite at our facility located on the southwest side of Indianapolis, IN near I-465 & Sam Jones Expressway. Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.
