Your key duties To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do: Environmental Impact Assessment work to meet planning requirements considering light spill analysis and overshadowingSunlight & daylight massing analysis for architects and developersDaylight designer including specification of control devices such as louvres and shading devicesLighting strategies & master-planning for public realm and citiesLighting concept designsConcept visualization & 3D light modelingScheme outlines with cost feasibilityDetailed lighting design including architectural integration detailingLighting control specificationBespoke luminaire designSite monitoring, including programming of control systems and focusing of luminaires Your skills and experience Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture, Lighting, or Architectural Engineering Coursework and/or experience in architecture (studio and/or history), lighting, or building systems design Experience using AGI, Revit, Enscape, and Photoshop beneficial Experience in 3ds Max, ElumTools, Grasshopper or Rhino a bonus Interest in the lighting design industry with an emphasis on architectural lighting design or daylighting analysis Lighting related internship helpful Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team Portfolio demonstrating design, visualization, academic, or lighting-related work is preferred.
