Saturday availability required About the Position Christopher Martin Gallery is seeking a polished, motivated, and sales-oriented Gallery Associate to join our Dallas team. This is a client-facing position combining fine art sales, collector development, and day-to-day gallery operations . The successful candidate will be comfortable engaging sophisticated clientele, developing new relationships, following sales opportunities from initial conversation through closing, and providing an exceptional gallery experience. We are looking for someone who is proactive rather than passive. Success requires curiosity, confidence, organization, excellent follow-through, and a genuine interest in developing relationships with collectors, interior designers, art advisors, and other members of the Dallas design community. Previous gallery experience is welcomed but not required. Candidates with successful backgrounds in luxury retail, interior design, jewelry, fashion, hospitality, real estate, or other relationship-driven sales environments are encouraged to apply. ResponsibilitiesArt Sales & Client Development Engage gallery visitors and develop conversations into meaningful client relationships and sales opportunities Proactively cultivate new collectors, interior designers, art advisors, and corporate clients Follow up consistently with prospects and existing collectors Present artwork confidently and communicate artists' backgrounds, techniques, and individual practices Prepare artwork selections, presentations, proposals, and pricing information for clients Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and work toward individual sales goals Develop repeat business through thoughtful, long-term client relationships Gallery Operations Help maintain a polished, welcoming, and professional gallery environment Open and close the gallery as scheduled Assist with artwork presentation, inventory organization, installations, exhibitions, and special events Maintain accurate client information, notes, preferences, and sales activity within the gallery CRM Coordinate with gallery colleagues regarding artwork availability, client requests, deliveries, and installations Assist with administrative and operational responsibilities as needed Events & Community Engagement Participate in exhibition openings, collector events, artist receptions, and other gallery programs Develop relationships within the Dallas art, design, architecture, and luxury communities Represent Christopher Martin Gallery professionally both inside and outside the gallery Qualifications Previous success in sales, client service, hospitality, or another relationship-driven environment Strong interest in contemporary art, design, architecture, or the luxury market Confident and professional presence with sophisticated clientele Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proactive approach to client development and follow-up Comfortable working with CRM and other digital business tools Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team Professional discretion and sound judgment Ability to learn artists, artwork, pricing, and inventory quickly Availability to work Saturdays as part of the regular full-time schedule Experience in a contemporary art gallery, interior design firm, luxury showroom, high-end retail environment, or related field is advantageous but not required. They are equally comfortable welcoming a first-time gallery visitor, working with an established collector, assisting an interior designer with a project, preparing for an exhibition opening, or handling the everyday responsibilities necessary to keep a gallery operating at a high level.
