Job Description

Summary:
Typically tasked with one very specific and highly technical responsibility within the function. Specialists are considered the source of truth and often their input is necessary for high level decision-making. In Philanthropy the specialists provide a wide range of expertise within philanthropy operations and fundraising. They represent a wide range of years of experience; some are more junior in their careers, while others have many years of experience. Many are considered "subject matter experts" (SME), they have acquired deep technical knowledge.

Able to work independently and make sound decisions, utilizing judgment and analytical skills and to effectively communicate internally and externally. Demonstrate ability to develop and implement project plans; to develop effective marketing and communications material; and able to perform assigned responsibilities in a manner that meets the needs of department goals and objectives.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting required.
  • Experience working with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM or donor database, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Background in fundraising or non-profit a plus.
  • Database experience is a plus.
  • Experience with volunteers and/or events may be preferred.
  • Three years of experience processing gifts and data in Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge preferred.
  • Higher levels require five to seven years' experience in a non-profit setting. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
  • Blackbaud Raiser's Edge or NXT Fundamentals Professional Certification preferred.

A Set or Exhibit Designer designs display booths or exhibits for museums, galleries or trade shows. Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.
