Job Description
Overview This Technical professional successful ability who operates and adjusts equipment to record, mix and reproduce sound. Able to work in a variety of settings, including all church services, special events and live performances. This role requires a deep understanding of audio systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments. The ability to collaborate closely with event organizers, ministers, performers, and other technical staff to ensure seamless sound production. As a Live Sound Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining sound equipment to deliver exceptional audio performance. Responsibilities Record and mix sound : Use recording equipment to capture speech, music, and other sounds, ensure the highest quality audio experience for events Synchronize sound and visuals : Match audio and video to the action on screen Adjust sound levels : Use control consoles to regulate volume and sound quality Troubleshoot equipment : Report issues and make repairs Maintain equipment : Keep equipment in good working order Collaborate with others : Work with producers, performers, and others to achieve the desired sound. Ability to work under pressure Excellent communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and a keen ear for sound quality Knowledge of audio recording and editing software Certification in audio operation and sound or a related field Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage the operation of audio equipment for church services and special ministry events
- Set up and break down microphones, speakers, mixing boards, and other sound devices throughout the facility.
- Collaborate with pastors, Executive Minister, Minister of Music and media team to ensure understanding of goals for music and sound levels for each service.
- Ensure staffing for services and ministry events. During services, adjust sound levels to accommodate solo performances and the sermon.
- Other responsibilities may involve collaborating with staff members to design and implement audio-visual enhancements for services, productions, and special events.
- Adapt to different environments: Work in a variety of settings, including studios, theaters, and live venues.
