Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense. This position will support the KBR Joint Mission Environment Testing Capability (JMETC) User Support contract with the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) Program in developing and maintaining program documentation (journal articles, factsheets, abstracts, and reports), briefings, websites and graphics.RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and document military/industry training and testing events that involve JMETC. Write and illustrate fact sheets on these events. Write abstracts and technical papers on the continuing evolution of the JMETC Enterprise portfolio and the militaries and industries' use of JMETC. Design and build or select available graphics for support of the text in technical papers and fact sheets. Solicit inputs, compile, edit, and publish monthly report and quarterly report Maintain a schedule of conference/journal submission due dates and make sure all documentation is submitted on schedule. Upload documents to the TRMC web site. Edit the web site's wiki pages to announce or delete documents available for download by web site users. Create and edit existing power point presentations to support the JMETC project. Responsible for configuration control of the master briefing slides. Maintain project acronym list Rapidly and accurately Editing team documentation Preparing, assembling and shipping large quantities of documents with short reaction timeREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
This job requires a BA in English, Communication Arts, or Journalism, and 5 years experience in writing/illustrating job. A BS with 5 years experience as a Technical Writer is all acceptable.REQUIRED SKILLS
The ability to synthesize complex technical issues into salient, concise, and understandable briefings, papers, and reports suitable for senior DOD executives are essential requirements. Military T&E experience is a plus, but some technical experience required. Ability to build graphics is a plus, but some graphics skills are required. Knowledge of website maintenance is a plus (Confluence). Technical writing and journalist experience is a required. Military news journal experience is a plus. The ability to use documentation software to include MS Word and Power Point, Adobe Acrobat is required. Selected candidate must be able to provide quality writing samples to be considered for this position.
