In this role, you will be responsible for taking raw footage from production leads, ingesting and backing up, creating proxies or doing othe post-processing, and editing footage into effective visual stories that are polished, high-quality, and engaging, for multiple platforms. Your expertise in editing, limited motion graphics (mostly template use), color correction, and post-production will play a crucial role in us delivering high quality videos in a timely manner to help our clients reach their business goals. Our primary clientele are in the trades, agriculture, outdoor, and tactical industries, with others mixed in. Responsibilities Edit and assemble raw video footage into polished videos that align with project goals and brand standards. Be willing to come with the team onto set to help with general production tasks (no special skills required), and help with in-office organization, shoot prep, and general production assistance Incorporate motion graphics, visual effects, and typography to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement. Perform color correction and light grading to ensure visual consistency and aesthetic appeal across all videos. Collaborate with content creators, videographers, and designers to develop creative concepts and execute video projects from start to finish. Maintain organized project files within content management systems and ensure timely delivery of final edits for publishing or distribution. Skills

We can help a candidate polish technical skills or learn new ones, but we need someone who is self-motivated, a self-starter, with great attention to detail. •we are looking for the same in an editor. The right candidate notices, and takes the extra effort to handle small details and understands that many of those little details make the difference between 'okay' and exceptional work.

CRITICAL

•A sense of storytelling: ability to understand goals for a video and work from there to craft engaging narratives through video storytelling techniques, while achieving client objectives.

•ability to communicate effectively and stick to project deadlines, and when timelines are possibly unrealistic or need adjustment, communicating and helping improve our processes

Software:

proficiency in (preferably) DaVinci Resolve, but alternatively Adobe Premiere Pro. Some experience in After Effects and Lightroom is helpful. Technical proficiency in color correction and post-production workflows. Familiarity with online feedback tools (such as Frame.io) file transfer and content management systems for project organization. Ability to manipulate photos through photo editing and photo manipulation software Skills in basic audio editing for clear sound quality General understanding of video production processes from filming to final cut Perks No restrictions on taking outside freelance work Employee commission of up to 10% for any referrals made to the business Access to our significant filmmaking gear inventory (we also operate a rental business) of well of $100,000 in equipment

•it is available for you to use for your projects (paid and personal) at no cost Flexible scheduling Free application for awards as editor on projects we submit for awards (submissions can range from $150-500 per category, per award). We pay for your awards. Occasional work on passion projects like 72 hour challenges, short films, music videos, etc. Generally speaking, our hours are 9am to 5pm. There is the possibility when tight deadlines or rapid turnarounds are required that we may ask for weekend or holiday hours. However, we believe that having a time of rest on weekends, and family / holiday time are extremely important and it is important to us that we avoid this whenever possible.
