Video Editor SKO Compounds is looking for a creative, fast, and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our content team in Beverly Hills. This role is focused primarily on editing short-form social media content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other digital platforms. We're looking for an editor who understands what makes short-form content engaging, knows how to create fast-paced edits without making videos feel over-edited, and can turn raw footage into polished, entertaining content that holds viewers' attention. You'll work with street interviews, in-house interviews, skits, UGC, and other social-first content produced by the SKO Compounds team. What You'll Do Edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms. Turn raw footage into polished, engaging, social-ready videos. Edit street interviews, in-house interviews, skits, UGC, and other content formats. Create clean, readable captions and on-screen text. Select the strongest moments, hooks, reactions, and clips from raw footage. Maintain strong pacing and viewer retention throughout each video. Add music, sound effects, graphics, zooms, cuts, and other elements when appropriate. Follow platform-safe zones and formatting requirements for vertical content. Ensure captions and important visual elements are positioned correctly for mobile viewing. Follow SKO Compounds' editing style, brand guidelines, and content requirements. Make revisions based on feedback from the content team. Organize project files and exports according to the team's workflow. Maintain consistent quality while working efficiently across multiple videos. Stay current with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and short-form editing trends. Collaborate with the content team to continuously improve video performance and editing style. The ideal candidate is:

Experienced editing short-form social media content. Comfortable working with a high volume of videos. Strong at identifying hooks and engaging moments within raw footage. Able to create fast-paced edits while keeping conversations natural. Detail-oriented with captions, timing, audio, framing, and visual consistency. Familiar with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions quickly. Able to follow an established editing style while still bringing creative ideas to the team. Organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Reliable, communicative, and able to work effectively with a content team. Interested in social media trends, viral content, and digital storytelling. Compensation $25.00 per hour Additional bonuses may be available based on company-established performance and content goals.
