Looking for a sharp editor / assistant editor to help us move fast during the Newport Beach Film Festival. This is a pretty wild week to be around. Premieres, red carpets, filmmakers, actors, industry people, private events, parties, action and adventure programming, packed venues, and a lot of access you normally don't just walk into. We'll be generating a ton of footage fast, and your job is to turn that chaos into something usable. Organize dailies, sync and sort footage, pull selects, build string-outs, and keep the Premiere project clean so the lead editor can get straight to the good stuff instead of spending hours digging through mystery clips. Hours are likely 8pm-2AM You need to be fast, organized, good with Premiere, and have a strong eye for what's actually worth keeping. This is a flat-rate festival gig, so the budget is lean, but the access is excellent. You'll be around filmmakers, producers, talent, creatives, and industry people all week, which makes it a genuinely solid networking opportunity if you're looking to meet people and make real connections while working on something fun.
