Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role reports to the Manager, Training Design & Development. The primary purpose of the Senior Content Media Specialist position is to produce media that supports BGE's organizational goals for internal and external use including video, digital graphics design, animation, and photography. This role is focused on creating engaging media learning experiences and will produce, direct, shoot, edit and deliver visual media content for training, employee development, and other initiatives. This role will advise internal clients on best practices to leverage video, photographic and computer-based media solutions, to improve knowledge transfer, learner engagement, performance outcomes, and training effectiveness across the organization. Works closely with trainers, instructional designers, and subject matter experts to develop learning content that supports employee performance and operational excellence. Primary Duties
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Produce, direct, shoot and edit visual media used by Utility Training and other organizational areas. (60%) Contribute to training development plans and content schedules that support Training organization objectives. (15%) Interpret, understand, and advise internal clients on training and learning challenges to produce solutions that yield desired results. (15%) Responsible for ensuring post-production equipment, programs and file managements processes are kept current. (10%) Job Scope
JOB SCOPE
Responsible for overseeing all elements of pre-production, production, and post-production for Content Media projects. Responsible for organizing and archiving media assets. Must focus on safety during productions and represent the company's safety culture in all interactions, meetings, and productions. Local travel as required. Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in a closely related field and 4 to 7 years relevant experience in creative media production Ability to shoot, edit and produce high-quality video products In-depth knowledge of video production processes, special effects and editing Professional expertise editing with Adobe Premiere and designing and creating professional graphics utilizing After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator Must be a self-starter, highly motivated individual that works well with a team and adapts to dynamic environment changes Comfortable with a fast-paced work environment Strong organizational and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to create and produce creative media solutions, including web-based file posting, conversion, and streaming. Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and communicate effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and meet deadlines. Demonstrated desire to learn new technologies, techniques, and storytelling processes. In lieu of degree, 6-9 years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional experience as part of a news gathering organization and/or production house. Benefits Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $83,200.00/Yr. - $114,400.00/Yr.
