Job Description

Who is Forge Relations Forge Relations is a fast-growing, full-service marketing agency built within the firearms, defense, and outdoor industry. We operate as our clients' marketing department, executing from strategy/ideation to final result. Our clients trust us to build their brand voice and then embody that in the content we create. We are a tight team that works hard, moves fast, thrives in controlled chaos, and believes ownership is non-negotiable. We're not loud; we're the quiet partner behind the curtain for some of the most prestigious brands in this industry. The Job at a Glance You deliver completed videos for some of the biggest brands in firearms, defense, and outdoor. Your videos shape each brand's narrative and drive its relationship with the community. You edit in DaVinci Resolve and close out full projects solo, from raw footage to final delivery. You craft on-brand stories, you thrive jumping between projects at scale, and you move through short-form video like it's your life's work.
The queue is real:
social edits, long-form YouTube, and product launch videos with deadlines that don't scare you. You work on a team that puts out hundreds of videos per month. We deliver at volume, on time. Your work doesn't ship until you've confirmed it's locked. No half-baked videos with caption mistakes or export fumbles. Your feelings don't get hurt when a video comes back for a re-edit or you're told to start over. You own the edit, start to finish. Role Overview Here's the honest version: this job will push you to your editing limits. The content machine never stops, and new deliverables land daily. You'll carry several brands at once, each with its own voice and message, and you'll craft the story and visuals that capitalize on social trends. Deadlines don't move, and there will be late nights. In return, you put your personal touch on content pulling 20 to 30 million views a month. We set that bar. Can you keep up? And here's the problem this seat exists to solve, because we haven't cracked it: how do you bring more output to the table while increasing content quality? Most shops quietly pick one. You'll be the calm in the chaos who raises both, and we want to see how you've done it before. If you wait to be told what to cut next, this isn't your seat. If you're already thinking about how you'd solve it, apply. What You Will Own The full edit on your projects: assembly, cut, color, sound, and delivery. Social-first edits that hold attention from the first second. Long-form pieces where pacing and story do the work. Your own deadlines. When you say it ships Thursday, it ships Thursday. Ideas. You push yourself to set the trends instead of following them, and you come to the table with a plan to execute. Your own growth. AI-assisted editing is changing this job, and we expect you to stay ahead of it with us. Other editors' work. You give the notes, and you catch what they missed before an account manager or a client does. How we edit here. Templates, export specs, naming, delivery standards. You set them and the whole team moves faster for it. Key Responsibilities Editing Cut social reels, YouTube videos, and full productions across multiple client brands. Match each brand's documented voice and style. The viewer should never sense an agency in the middle. Carry multiple projects at once without letting quality slip on any of them. Color, Sound, and Finishing Grade and mix your own projects to a professional standard inside DaVinci Resolve. Build motion graphics and titles where a project calls for them. Team and Review Run your reviews through internal channels and turn revisions into feedback quickly. Work with our Production Manager and videographers so what gets shot cuts clean. Flag problems early. Bad news travels first here. Requirements This is not an entry-level role. You've done this professionally, and where you are now has stopped challenging you. 3 to 5 years of professional video editing experience. Strong working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve. Able to close out a full project solo, not just your piece of it. A real handle on pacing, story, and what's working on social right now. Actively invested in learning AI-powered editing tools. Experience or working knowledge of firearms preferred. Reel or portfolio required. We watch every one. Ideal Candidate You love the gun industry, but you love crafting the story more. You've edited inside the firearms or outdoor world and know its audience. You've carried an agency-volume queue before and got sharper doing it. You already have AI tools in your workflow and opinions about which ones earn their keep. Overqualified and bored counts. If this reads like less than you make now but you miss shipping work you're proud of, apply anyway. You're not afraid to be late for dinner when the work gets good. The team is the reason you'll stay. Good people who embrace the suck together and double down when it gets hard. You stopped calling this a job a long time ago.
