Job Description

Who we are Colormatics is a creative company that happens to be very good at video. What makes that possible is how we're built: creative, direction, production, and post all sit under one roof. No handing an edit down a chain of vendors, no waiting on an outside post house. If you're an editor here, you're in the room where the work gets shaped, not at the end of an assembly line. We're a small, senior team that cares about the craft and holds a real bar. We hit our deadlines and don't blow budgets, which means the pace is fast but the chaos is low. You'll have range (brand films, social cutdowns, talent-driven work) and room to have an opinion. We're looking for a Video Editor to take the raw footage and turn it into the thing everyone brags about. What you'll do You'll spend most of your time in the timeline. Most of what we make starts as a commercial: brand spots and talent-driven campaigns. Your job is to help shape the hero cut, then build the system of assets around it (:15 and :06 cutdowns, vertical social edits, captioned versions, alternate CTAs). One shoot, many outputs. Specifically, you'll: Cut client campaigns from selects to picture lock, working under the direction of our creative and post leads Turn one campaign into a full set of platform-ready assets for social and paid Craft narrative and rhythm for the format, whether that's a national brand film or a social :15 Collaborate closely with directors and producers to keep the creative vision consistent Handle basic motion graphics and color prep, and hand off cleanly to finishing when needed Keep your projects organized (bins, versions, exports) so nothing gets lost between rounds Take notes well, turn revisions around fast, and keep quality high across multiple projects What we're looking for 5+ years editing professionally, ideally in an agency, production company, or brand environment A reel that shows range: brand, commercial, and social work that moves people Fluency in Premiere Pro (After Effects and DaVinci Resolve are big pluses) A strong instinct for story, pacing, and music, plus the technical chops to back it up Comfort taking notes and direction, and the confidence to speak up when the edit calls for it Organized, deadline-driven, and calm. Based in the Spokane area (this is an on-site role) Why Colormatics Real projects with real talent and clients you'll recognize A tight, collaborative team that cares about the craft Room to grow your skills as we grow the company Life in Spokane, where the commute is short and the mountains, lakes, and golf are close How to apply Send your resume and a reel or portfolio link to recruitment@colormatics.com.
