Short Form Videographer and Editor Side Characters Coffee San Francisco, CA Job Details Part-time $22 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Visual storytelling Content creation Adobe Premiere Content management TikTok Instagram Full Job Description Part Time Short Form Videographer and Editor Side Characters is looking for a part time videographer and editor to create documentary style short form content for Instagram and TikTok. The role is built around capturing the people, atmosphere and events that make the space what it is, then shaping that material into videos with a clear point of view. We want polished work that still feels real, not generic café content or traditional advertising. This is not a remote position or a traditional social media management role. All scheduled hours, including editing, will be spent onsite. The work will be consistent, hands on and creatively open. You will be able to experiment with formats, develop recurring ideas and build a substantial portfolio inside an active environment. The role Film and edit documentary style vertical content Produce Reels and TikToks consistently throughout the week Help develop content concepts and recurring formats Create hooks, captions, subtitles and cover frames Organize footage and maintain a consistent publishing rhythm Ideally assist with local creator outreach and influencer collaborations What we are looking for A strong portfolio of Reels, TikToks or other vertical videos Strong instincts for pacing, composition and atmosphere The ability to create polished work without making it feel staged Independence, curiosity and consistency Comfort filming in an active hospitality environment Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar editing software An interest in music, design, fashion, nightlife or contemporary visual culture is a plus. We care more about taste and potential than years of professional experience. Emerging creators and film students are encouraged to apply. A Sony Alpha 7 camera, tracking tripods, microphones and additional production equipment can be provided. Applicants should preferably have their own editing laptop.
