Job Description
Contract Video Editor & Videographer, Ongoing Weekly Deliverables The May Firm | 1099 Contract | San Luis Obispo, CA area Project Overview The May Firm, a California personal injury law firm, is contracting a video editor and videographer for an ongoing weekly content engagement. This is a 1099 contract with defined weekly deliverables across short-form and long-form video. Because production runs out of our San Luis Obispo studio and includes regular on-location shoots throughout the Central Coast, this engagement is best suited to a contractor already based in the region or willing to work on site as scheduled. We anticipate a long-term engagement for the right contractor, with scope reviewed quarterly. Weekly Deliverables (Fixed Scope) Per week: 15 to 18 short-form clips, 15 to 60 seconds each, formatted for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn 2 to 5 long-form pieces, 2 to 6 minutes each (firm overviews, case education, attorney spotlights, testimonials) Multiple content variants from each shoot (different hooks, lengths, and crops for platform testing) Platform-optimized exports for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and the firm website Production Scope (On Site): Operate Blackmagic camera systems out of our San Luis Obispo studio and at on-location shoots Set up, manage, and strike professional lighting equipment on site Travel to shoot locations across the Central Coast, including courtrooms, medical facilities, and client sites Direct attorneys, staff, and clients on camera, coaching non-actors through delivery Contribute to shoot concepts, scripting, and storyboarding
