Job Description

Pay:
Starting at $19/hour
Job Type:
Full-Time We are looking for someone to help us start and build a YouTube channel from scratch. We run several businesses, have crews out in the field every day, are constantly working on new projects, and are starting two brand-new franchises next year. There is always something going on, and we think there is a really fun YouTube channel somewhere in the middle of all of it. This is not a super formal corporate media position. We are looking for someone who is creative, easy to work with, flexible, and excited about helping us figure this thing out as we go. The channel is brand new, so there will definitely be some learning curves. We are not expecting someone to come in on day one and have every answer. We mainly need someone who can help us get the ball rolling, start filming consistently, edit the footage, and learn with us as we figure out what kind of content people actually want to watch. This can absolutely be an entry-level position. You do not need years of professional experience. Having some basic knowledge of cameras, filming, or video editing would definitely be preferred, but we are open to someone who is creative, motivated, and willing to learn. What You'll Be Doing Film us and our crews throughout the day. Capture funny moments, projects, problems, behind-the-scenes stuff, employee interactions, equipment, and whatever else is happening. Help document us starting a new franchise from the ground up next year. Edit footage into YouTube videos. Create shorter clips for YouTube Shorts and social media. Help come up with video ideas, titles, thumbnails, and ways to make the content more entertaining. Organize footage and help us build a good system for filming and editing. Be ready to grab a camera when something interesting happens. Some days may be more filming-heavy, while other days may be spent editing and working on content ideas. Who We're Looking For We would love to find someone who: Enjoys YouTube and understands the general style of content people like to watch. Has at least some interest in cameras, filming, or editing. Is comfortable being around different personalities and filming people naturally. Has a good sense of humor. Is dependable and easy to work with. Is willing to learn and try new things. Can be flexible during the day when something worth filming comes up. Likes business, entrepreneurship, projects, equipment, or just seeing what goes on behind the scenes. If you already know Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or something similar, that is a plus, but it is not required. Equipment We will supply everything from the cameras, microphones, Editing software You do not need to show up with thousands of dollars worth of gear. Why This Job Is Different This is not a normal videographer position. You would be getting involved at the very beginning and helping shape what this channel turns into. There is no established formula yet. We are going to learn, test different ideas, make some mistakes, figure out what works, and hopefully build something really cool over time. We operate multiple businesses and will be starting another franchise next year, so there should never be a shortage of things to film. We would love to find someone who sees the bigger opportunity here and wants to sit down with us, bounce ideas around, and help turn this into something special. If this sounds like something you would enjoy, we would love to talk and see if it could be a good fit. When applying, feel free to send over any videos, edits, YouTube content, TikToks, school projects, personal projects, or anything else you have worked on. It does not need to be professional. We mainly want to get a feel for your creativity and what you are interested in.
