Who we are KommandoStore is a military surplus and gear webstore based in Rapid City, SD. We sell a wide variety of clothing and equipment spanning decades of military history and multiple continents; from US night vision devices to Austrian leather boots, Eastern Bloc field gear to modern American tactical kit, cold weather clothing to optics, tools, and everything in between. Our business is built on a high volume of online sales, supported by digital marketing, organic media, and a constantly changing catalog of products. Our customer base is broad and passionate, and many of our most successful product launches are community-driven, sourced directly from the requests of our followers. We're hiring a junior videographer to help plan, shoot, and edit content for social media. You'll report to the Creative Lead and work alongside a team of other creatives. You'll own most of the short form content while assisting on longer projects with the opportunity to take more of those on as you get comfortable. Meeting the right applicant is important to us, so we're advertising in several adjacent states. What you'll do Plan, shoot, and edit short form content. Assist on longform shoots. Second camera, audio, lighting, etc. Edit. Clipping, captions, color, sound, etc. Shoot stills on occasion. Keep the set, props, and equipment organized and ready to use. What we need Strong editing skills. A strong background in Premiere Pro is essential. You must be able to hit deadlines. Don't commit to a deadline if you're not confident you will hit it. Self Starter. You will have the opportunity to bring your own ideas to life. You will be expected to manage several projects at once without someone checking in on you. You will be expected to balance between prioritizing speed vs giving meticulous attention to detail. You're comfortable receiving constructive criticism without taking it personally. Critique and feedback are normal and necessary parts of our day to day work and it makes everyone on our team better. You must be comfortable handling and working around firearms. You can legally possess firearms and ammunition. Offer contingent on a background check. Nice to have Knowledge or interest in guns, surplus, or the broader industry. Not required, as long as you're willing to learn! Photography experience. Drone experience. Motion graphics experience. The physical side Most days you'll be working in office editing. Other days you're out on a range or in the hills carrying gear over uneven ground for most of the day. Expect to lift and carry as much as 40 lbs, stand for long stretches, and work outdoors in cold, heat, and wind.

Regular hours are 9-5 M-F. Additional hours and weekends will occasionally be required for shoots and events. Pay and Benefits $65,000 DOE. Full-Time. 401k with company match.
