Job Description

Direct CHB, Inc. is seeking a skilled Customs Entry Writer to facilitate smooth and efficient customs clearance processes for our clients. If you have a strong understanding of customs regulations, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for ensuring compliance, we are looking for you! Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit customs entries and documentation in compliance with customs regulations and company procedures. Classify imported goods and determine applicable customs duties and taxes. Communicate effectively with clients, customs officials, and internal departments to resolve any issues or discrepancies. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of customs entries. Stay informed about changes in customs regulations and procedures. Provide guidance and support to clients regarding customs clearance processes. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations. Update/maintain customer specific HTS databases. Communicate with various CBP ports/officers to comply with all entry regulations/procedures. Follow up on entry release status.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Customs Entry Writer or similar role in customs brokerage or freight forwarding preferred. Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariff schedules, and import/export procedures preferred. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Excellent organizational skills. Proficient in using MS Office, Outlook and PDF. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Custom Brokerage License preferred. Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred.
