Job Description

The Development Graduate Assistant supports the fundraising, donor relations, and premium seating initiatives for Murray State Athletics, while assisting with select ticketing responsibilities related to renewals and upselling. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Development and works closely with the revenue generation and ticket operations teams to enhance donor engagement, grow annual giving, and drive premium seating sales. Responsibilities & Duties Assist with annual pledge renewals for current Racer Club members and identify opportunities to elevate donors to higher giving/membership levels. Support the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of new Racer Club prospects. Assist in the premium seating and premium loge box sales process, including identifying and engaging new prospects. Help with donor stewardship activities, including thank-you calls, event follow-up, and personalized outreach. Assist current season ticket holders with renewal and seat upgrade opportunities for men's basketball, football, and other select ticketed events. Provide support in preparing proposals, gift agreements, and presentation materials for donor meetings. Participate in the planning and execution of development events, including donor receptions, recognition ceremonies, and game day hospitality. Support game day operations in premium seating areas and donor hospitality spaces. Greet visitors, provide facility tours, and serve as a positive representative of Murray State Athletics to donors, alumni, and fans. Collaborate with the development and ticketing teams to implement creative outreach and engagement strategies. Comply with all NCAA, OVC, MVC, MVFC, and Murray State University rules, regulations, and policies. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Interest in a career in fundraising, development, or athletic administration. Previous experience in sales, customer service, or athletics preferred but not required.
