Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Diesel Lube/Tire Tech & Shop Helper to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting with vehicle maintenance, tire services, and shop operations to support our diesel technicians in maintaining Northwest Logistics fleet of class 8 trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate must be dependable, hard-working, and take pride in preventing breakdowns, maintain detailed service records and accurate parts inventory. Duties Perform with oil changes, tire installations, rotations, and repairs using hand tools and power tools Support the team in performing vehicle inspections, alignments, and basic diagnostics Help with vehicle maintenance tasks such as fluid checks, mechanical repairs, and general upkeep Handle heavy lifting of tires, parts, and equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and organized shop environment to ensure safety and productivity Support sales efforts by providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients Assist with inventory management of tools, tires, lubricants, and automotive supplies Requirements Previous dealership or automotive repair experience preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and automotive diagnostics is a plus Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic automotive service procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in a physically active environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Opportunity to learn and grow in the diesel/truck repair industry Steady full-time work Full benefits Safe driving record and valid Driver's License required.
