Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Diesel mechanic / Plant Maintenance professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential maintenance and repair tasks on heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and plant systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep our facility running smoothly, safely, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and a passion for heavy equipment maintenance to contribute to a thriving industrial environment. someone who is Bi-lingual is preferred (Spanish-English) Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, suspensions, and other heavy machinery components. Perform repairs on farm machinery, industrial equipment, and plant systems using hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques. Diagnose mechanical issues utilizing schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and electrical testing equipment. Operate heavy equipment such as front end loaders forklifts, and tractor-trailers to facilitate maintenance tasks or move equipment safely around the facility. Maintain accurate service records, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures. Assist with assembly and disassembly of machinery parts during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Support troubleshooting efforts involving hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, brakes, wheel alignment, tire service, and vehicle maintenance. assist with maintenance on conveyors, elevator legs, grinders, and other grain procession equipment. Skills experience with heavy equipment operation including front end loaders forklifts, and tractor-trailers. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, suspension components, hydraulics, and HVAC systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and electrical diagrams for diagnostics and repairs. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of using power tools safely and effectively. Hands-on experience with automotive repair Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance procedures. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or external vendors regarding equipment issues.
