Direct Support Professional

In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support medication administration and care plan implementation under supervision to ensure safety and adherence to prescribed treatments Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning while maintaining proper hygiene and cleanliness standards in the living environment Engage residents through social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation Maintain a safe environment by performing cleaning duties, adhering to infection control protocols, and ensuring safety measures are followed at all times Document observations accurately in care records, including patient monitoring details, incident reports, and progress notes Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia or Alzheimer's care is highly preferred Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is required Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks such as transferring residents using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Strong communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers and team members Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Compassionate attitude with patience for working with individuals experiencing cognitive decline or behavioral challenges Join us to be part of a compassionate team dedicated to enriching lives through exceptional care. Pay:
