We are looking for motivated, compassionate people to join our GROWING team!!! We are hiring full time positions for 2nd and 3rd shift in our Homemaker/Personal Care departments. We offer flexibility, on the job training and internal advancement opportunities. Third shift assignments that allow the provider to sleep are paid at $12.25/hour from 10p-6a. Awake overnight shifts are paid at the standard $17

• 19/hour.

Details:

Assist with the direct care and supports for teens and/or adults with developmental disabilities in our homemaker/personal care department. Act as a direct support professional to assist with teaching and learning in home and/or community based environments across Erie County.

Duties may include:

leading volunteer activities, working 1:1 to support individuals, engaging in recreation/leisure activities, completing documentation/data collection, incident reporting, meal/snack preparation, filing/organization of required paperwork, teaching budgeting/money management skills, creating task lists for grooming/hygiene/personal care, attending appointments, arranging client transportation for the week, teaching how to complete household chores, assist with grocery shopping and more. Experience with positive reinforcement, behavior management and intervention/teaching strategies is beneficial. History of involvement with community integration or assisting to provide community access is a plus.

Required:

• Must pass background check
• Have own reliable transportation and proof of car insurance
• Submit driving record
• Established background or work experiences that involve care for persons with developmental disabilities
• Able to lift 50lbs.

Preference given to candidates who:

• CPR/First aid certified
• Established background or work experiences that involve care and training for persons with developmental disabilities
• Preferred candidates have 1+ years of background in working with and serving persons with developmental disabilities.

Pay rate adjusted based on professional background, training and previous experience. Shifts are hired based on client need and are matched to provider schedule, training and expertise.
