DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL!
$18/hour DSP-401
K, PTO, Holiday Time, Paid Training, Medical, Dental, Vision Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 3:00PM Direct Support Professional (DSP) The purpose of a one-on-one Direct Support Professional (DSP) is to support an adult with disabilities. The DSP will ensure the success and well-being of program participant and communicate daily activities and goal progress with the Site Director each day.
Job Responsibilities:
Administrative Provide daily reports of the individuals progress and achievements Complete incident reports as necessary at Site Director's request Maintain daily logs and reports; prepare reports according to Dutton Farm policies and procedures Attend scheduled staff meetings Direct Assist the individual in achieving maximum potential and self determination Continuously assess surroundings for safety of the individual, reporting any concerns to Dutton Farm management immediately Promote engagement for the participant Assist the individual during on-site activities Teach appropriate skills and involve individual in meaningful and valued activities Promote positive social interactions Evaluate and assist the participant in assigned group with tasks that prove too difficult Provide personal care assistance as needed (feeding and toileting) Warm up meals as necessary for the individual Build a strong, authentic, and trusted bonds with the participants Monitor and evaluate goal progress for the individual Fulfill all other direct care requests by Chief Program Office and/or Site Director as given
Qualifications:
Mission aligned Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities High school diploma required Must be 18 years or older Must pass background checks Basic computer skills Must complete training within 30 days of employment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Maintain a professional demeanor with a focus on advocacy, respect, and demonstrating a strong work ethic Must be self-motivated, reliable, dependable Strong ability to adapt and willingness to be flexible
