Job Description

Lexington Center for Recovery, the Hudson Valley's largest provider of outpatient and residential substance use disorder services, is seeking full-time/part-time Direct Support Staff for all shifts for our 47-bed community residence located within Garnet Health Medical Center in Harris, NY. The Direct Support Staff is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the residential treatment facility while maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for residents.
Direct Support Staff Responsibilities:
Assist and mentor clients in their recovery process Assists in supervision of clients while completing hourly rounds to ensure safety and well-being Ensures compliance to daily schedule Completes and forwards copy of Incident Reports and any other safety/risk issues to supervisor Documents all behavioral issues in the client chart Build positive relationships with clients and staff Provides a safe and therapeutic environment for all staff and clients Recognizes, responds to, and assists in crisis situations and provide the necessary intervention Responds and assists in medical emergency situations as directed and needed Communicates effectively with client and interdisciplinary team regarding client needs Assists with chart documentation and compliance Adheres to all program policies and procedures while ensuring client safety at all times Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
A high school diploma or equivalent Must be able to work flexible work hours Comfortable working independently and can consistently make good judgment Friendly disposition with a positive "can do" Attitude Strong interpersonal skills and passionate about helping those in need Background Check, Fingerprinting and State Central Registry is required Join a growing team dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals in recovery.
