Director Ambulatory Pharmacy opportunity in
West Texas:

The Director Ambulatory Pharmacy will oversee an advanced outpatient pharmacy ecosystem within an ambulatory care, retail-style setting that integrates clinic-based services, care transitions, and medication access solutions; anchored by a premier healthcare system serving the surrounding region for nearly 100 years, this operation is recognized for comprehensive, high-quality care with a 600+ bed capacity, a Level III Trauma Facility, a dedicated Women's & Children's hospital, and an extensive network of over 400 providers, while the outpatient pharmacy consists of roughly 35 FTEs—resources the Director Ambulatory Pharmacy will leverage to expand clinical services, streamline operations, and ensure seamless patient experiences across the continuum. Reporting to senior Pharmacy Leadership (e.g., VP/Chief Pharmacy Officer), the Director Outpatient Pharmacy will lead strategy, operations, and clinical quality for ambulatory/retail pharmacy services, including regulatory readiness, 340B optimization, specialty and infusion coordination, sterile and nonsterile compounding standards, formulary management, budget stewardship, revenue cycle integrity, and outcomes-driven clinical programs; supported by engaged supervisors, clinical pharmacists, technicians, informatics partners, and friendly nurses within a diverse interdisciplinary team, the Director Outpatient Pharmacy will champion evidence-based protocols, advance care transitions and patient education, mentor emerging leaders, and foster a Just Culture that empowers frontline problem-solving and continuous improvement.
