Job Description

A respected skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility dedicated to providing exceptional care, clinical excellence, and compassionate service to our residents and community partners throughout Florida. We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Director to lead census development efforts and strengthen referral relationships within the healthcare community.
Position Summary:
The Business Development Director is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing and outreach initiatives to increase admissions, strengthen referral partnerships, and promote the facility's services within the local healthcare market. This role works closely with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, assisted living communities, and other referral sources to drive occupancy growth and enhance community presence. Lead and coordinate the referral process for the assigned market. Conduct timely clinical and financial evaluations of patient referrals assessing the needs of patients and directing referrals to appropriate company facilities. Based on the needs assessments, the Marketing Liaison will develop solutions that meet identified needs, which will result in referrals to selected facilities. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, rehabilitation centers, and healthcare providers Execute marketing and business development strategies to increase admissions and occupancy Conduct routine facility tours for prospective residents, families, and referral partners Represent the facility at networking events, healthcare meetings, and community outreach activities Track referral activity, admissions data, and marketing outcomes Collaborate with the admissions and clinical teams to ensure smooth transition and placement of new residents Identify market trends and competitive opportunities within the skilled nursing and post-acute care industry Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and insurance processes related to admissions Assist in developing promotional materials and community engagement initiatives Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of business development, healthcare marketing, or admissions experience Skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care experience strongly preferred Established healthcare referral relationships within Florida markets preferred Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to work independently and meet census goals Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/admissions tracking systems Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation required
