Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Provide leadership and coordination for all facets of clinical experiences and educator preparation operations, including PK-12 partnerships, field placements, candidate support, accreditation activities, data management, and stakeholder communication. Serve as a primary liaison among university faculty, candidates, supervisors, and PK-12 partners to support high-quality clinical preparation, regulatory compliance, and continuous program improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and support clinical experiences, field placements, and educator preparation activities across PK-12 partner settings. Oversee placement processes, candidate tracking, scheduling, and operational coordination related to clinical experiences. Facilitate communication and problem-solving related to clinical placements among faculty, candidates, supervisors, and PK-12 school personnel. Maintain organized workflows and procedures that promote consistency, efficiency, and quality in clinical experience operations. Coordinate and maintain PK-12 school and district partnerships that support educator preparation programs and clinical experiences. Serve as a primary liaison among university faculty, school partners, candidates, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Support partnership agreements, ongoing relationship management, and stakeholder engagement efforts that sustain high-quality partnerships. Coordinate accreditation and compliance activities related to educator preparation programs, including timelines, documentation, reporting processes, and evidence collection. Oversee data systems and reporting functions that support state, federal, and accreditation requirements. Produce accurate and timely reports, dashboards, and program documentation that assist faculty and leadership with assessment review, continuous improvement efforts, and informed decision-making. SUPERVISION RECEIVED
General supervision is received from the Dean of the College of Education
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
: Functional supervision is exercised over Clinical Experience Administrative Professionals, Student Teaching, and Field Supervisors
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in education or related field A minimum of three years of administration experience and five years of PK-12 school teaching experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software quickly. Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Michigan Department of Education Standards Knowledge of CAEP Standards Ability and flexibility to deal with unforeseeable events
