Chief Operating Officer The Director of Marketing & Communications provides leadership, strategic direction, and oversight for Marin JCC's marketing, communications, and public relations efforts. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role develops and implements integrated strategies that drive enrollment, engagement, revenue, and overall brand visibility across all program areas. The Director leads and manages the marketing function, including staff and external partners, ensuring effective execution, clear prioritization, and alignment with organizational goals. Primary Responsibilities Lead organization-wide marketing, communications, and public relations strategy to drive revenue, enrollment, engagement, and brand visibility across all lines of business. Develop and communicate a clear, compelling value proposition for the JCC, with consistent messaging that reflects mission, impact, and key differentiators. Design and implement integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies aligned with organizational priorities, using audience insights and data to drive results. Serve as brand steward, ensuring consistency in voice, visual identity, and messaging across all platforms, programs, and touchpoints. Partner with program, membership, and development leaders to identify growth opportunities and translate organizational priorities into effective marketing initiatives. Establish priorities and allocate resources, including budget, time, and team capacity, to maximize impact and return on investment. Oversee storytelling, content strategy, and communications channels including digital, email, social, web, print, and PR to strengthen engagement and audience connection. Lead media relations and public relations efforts, positioning the organization as a visible and trusted community leader. Build and optimize marketing systems and infrastructure, including CRM integration, campaign workflows, and analytics to support efficient and scalable execution. Track, analyze, and report on performance, translating data into actionable insights that improve strategy, conversion, and decision-making. Manage and develop the marketing function, including staff, contractors, and agency partners, providing clear direction, accountability, and professional growth. Foster cross-departmental alignment and collaboration, ensuring marketing is effectively integrated into program planning, enrollment cycles, and key organizational initiatives. Support leadership and strategic planning efforts by contributing a marketing and communications perspective to broader institutional priorities. Strengthen the organization's reputation and community presence through relationships with partners, stakeholders, and the broader community. Participate as an active member of the Osher Marin JCC Management Team, including staff meetings, organizational events, and support of broader priorities as needed. Position and Compensation Full-time onsite exempt management level position Anticipated start date: early July 2026 Salary range $110,000 - $130,000 annually, based on experience Allowance toward health, dental, vision insurance; life and disability insurance; Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 22 vacation days, 13 sick days plus approximately 15 national and Jewish holidays per year JCC family membership; discounts on JCC programs and events, and more. Qualifications 7+ years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or public relations, with a track record of driving measurable results (e.g., enrollment, engagement, or revenue growth) Bachelor's degree required Experience in the Bay Area preferred Familiarity with Jewish community, culture, and traditions Strategic thinker with strong execution skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment Experience leading staff and/or managing external partners, with strong judgment around prioritization and resource allocation Strong brand, messaging, and storytelling capabilities Data-informed and digitally fluent, with experience using marketing tools, analytics, and CRM platforms Excellent written and verbal communication skills; personable, collaborative, adaptable, and team-orientedSalary:
