Overview NOTE:
This position requires someone with experience with high volume calls, multi tasking, managing customers and managing jobs. We are looking for the right fit for this position. We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatcher/Customer Service/Office Staff member to join our team. This role involves coordinating transportation logistics, providing exceptional customer service, and managing office operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency with transportation management systems, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting supply chain and logistics functions. Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments using transportation management systems Manage scheduling and routing for fleet vehicles utilizing GIS, GPS, and transportation planning tools to optimize delivery efficiency. Provide exceptional customer service via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear communication and professional phone etiquette. Enter data accurately into various CRM Monitor and update shipment statuses, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with drivers, clients, and internal teams effectively. Assist with fleet management tasks including vehicle maintenance scheduling and compliance tracking. Perform general office duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining organized records related to transportation activities. Skills Strong knowledge of transportation management systems Experience with
GIS, GPS
technology, and transportation planning tools for efficient dispatching. Familiarity with logistics concepts including supply chain management, freight handling, shipping & receiving processes, and fleet management. Excellent analysis skills to interpret data related to transportation operations. Proficient in dispatching procedures with a focus on efficiency and safety. Exceptional communication skills with professional phone etiquette for interacting with clients, drivers, and team members. Strong typing skills for accurate data entry across multiple platforms. Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently while handling multiple inquiries simultaneously.
