THE GRATEFUL DOG GROOMING SHOP IS EXPANDING/HIRING!

Join our vibrant team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and talent for grooming come together to create happy, healthy, and beautifully cared-for pets. In this role, you'll provide professional grooming services that enhance each dog's appearance and comfort, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. We are a small 1:1 grooming salon located on the 101 in Encinitas, next to a pet show that offers us an employee discount! We are open Monday-Saturday. Each shift is 8 hours and flexible. Pay is $22 - $40/ hour D.O.E plus tips and an opportunity for bonuses! Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping to meet each pet's specific needs and breed standards Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff Assess each dog's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming procedures accordingly Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, or health concerns Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of different breeds and coat types Must be 18 years of age or older Must be able to work with dogs up to 100 lbs Experience with animal restraint methods and pet sitting is beneficial for ensuring safe grooming sessions Knowledgeable with hand scissoring At least one year experience Please send your resume/info to: Looking forward to meeting you!
