Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and grooming expertise will shine! In this energetic role, you will provide top-quality grooming services that keep dogs looking and feeling their best. Your enthusiasm for pet care, combined with your skills in animal handling and grooming techniques, will create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. This paid position offers the opportunity to work in a lively environment dedicated to animal well-being and customer satisfaction. Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, and styling to meet each pet's specific needs and owner preferences Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each dog's coat condition and skin health, providing recommendations for ongoing pet care or veterinary consultation if necessary Maintain a clean, organized grooming station and sanitize tools regularly to uphold hygiene standards Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests and provide advice on pet care and maintenance between visits Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring a calm environment that minimizes stress for animals Support other team members with pet sitting, kennel duties, or light veterinary assistance when needed Experience Previous experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of animal behavior and health considerations Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles enhances your ability to recognize health issues during grooming sessions Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet care routines, and kennel management contributes to a safe and efficient work environment Strong customer service skills are essential for building trust with pet owners and addressing their concerns effectively Experience with heavy lifting may be necessary when handling larger dogs or equipment involved in grooming tasks Join us to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
