Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Program Lead Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM $21/hour Direct Support Professional (DSP) Program Lead - PTO, 401K, Matching, Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Training. The Program Lead is responsible for guiding and supporting Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to ensure the delivery of high-quality, participant-centered programming. This role acts as a leader on the site, modeling best practices, maintaining compliance with policies and procedures, and assisting the Site Manager with the operational and administrative needs of the program. The Program Lead ensures that participants receive safe, engaging, and meaningful services while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct site visit tours for new participants. Guide and lead Direct Support Professionals in the daily schedule and implementation of relevant curriculum. Take initiative to lead daily tasks and encourage teamwork among staff. Assist HR with onboarding, orientation, and training of new hires. Understand and support the Site Manager in the implementation of policies and procedures. Oversee and adjust groupings as needed to maintain participant-to-staff ratios in compliance with program policy. Model best practices for Direct Support Professionals by leading through example. Ensure required participant records, including Therap notes and incident reports, are complete at the end of each day. Ensure strong participant engagement and curriculum delivery. Administer medications as needed, following organizational procedures. Schedule and conduct annual performance reviews for Direct Support Professionals. Communicate regularly with the Site Manager to receive updates on schedules, Community Integration (CI) activities, or other information to be passed along to DSPs. Act as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Site Manager. Conduct morning meetings to prepare staff for the day and review priorities. Ensure program services follow all opening and closing procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Mission aligned Must be able to commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a human services, disability, or nonprofit setting. Experience training, coaching, or mentoring staff. Knowledge of program development and participant-centered practices. Ability to model positive behavior and best practices for staff. Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail. Experience with documentation and compliance requirements (e.g., incident reports and Therap notes). Ability to administer medications safely following training and protocols. Bachelor's degree in education, social work, human services, or related field preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Commitment to promoting inclusion, dignity, and purpose for individuals with disabilities
