We are looking for collaborative, friendly, organized, and caring early childhood educators who share in our commitment to providing quality play-based education, caring for the whole child (social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development), and instilling a spirit of lifelong learning. Our teachers are full-time positions with paid leave and benefits. The specific hours for each position vary depending on the assignment within our school hours of 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (typically Mon.
  • Fri. 7:30 a.m.
  • 4:00 p.m., 8:30 a.m.
  • 5:00 p.m., or 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. based on the position). Early Childhood Lead Teacher 2

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS 12
semester or equivalent quarter college units in early childhood education or child development completed, with passing grades, at an accredited college or university, plus at least six months of work experience OR One of the following Child Development Permits issued by the California Commission on
Teacher Credentialing:
(A) Child Development Teacher Permit; or (B)
Child Development Master Teacher Permit Key Job Duties:
Lead and participate in classroom activities, outdoor play, sports, and games Respond to critical incidents and act swiftly in an emergency Adequately observe participants' activities Support the mission of the preschool Under the direction of the Preschool Director, work collaboratively to best meet the needs of the individual child in regards to cultural, age, and developmental skills Provide individual assessments of each child to help tailor activities, classroom provications, and classroom environment to meet the needs of students best. Establish rapport with parents Prepare instructional materials for daily activities Maintain a clean and orderly school site and enforce safety regulations Behave in a manner consistent with preschool guidelines, objectives and goals Create weekly lesson plans (Lead Teacher) Set the tone for and structure of the classroom (Lead Teacher) Mentor assistant teachers and provide them with the opportunity to grow in their teaching experience and expertise (Lead Teacher) Provide open-ended, appropriate play materials based on current research and resources (Lead Teacher)
