An Adult Basic Education or Literacy Instructor works with adults, including young adults who are out of school, to improve literacy and strengthen basic skills in reading, writing and math. Helps students to learn English or gain a high school diploma or equivalent certificate. Assesses students' educational levels, skills and goals, and differentiates instruction as needed for adults at different levels in one class. May focus on basic skills as needed for a particular occupation, or assist students with developing study skills or job search skills, or help students connect with social services.

Demonstrated ability to utilize diagnostic criteria to assign a diagnostic impression. Keeps clear and accurate written documentation. Knowledge and ability to document using appropriate psychiatric terminology. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions Demonstrates knowledge of admission and exclusionary criteria adolescent, adult and geriatric programs. Assesses patients and coordinates psychiatric admission or referral to appropriate provider. Pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Makes appropriate referral when prospective patient does not meet inpatient criteria. Pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Knowledgeable about diagnostic criteria and demonstrates ability to give a diagnostic impression. Pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Document all patient information, data, and interactions in a clear and concise manner. Completes all components of the admission process as appropriate. CPR certification.

Education:
Registered Nurse, BS Or Master's level
Experience:
Prior inpatient hospital experience preferred or equivalent. Two years of work experience in a psychiatric related setting.
