Healthcare Administration Instruction Galaxy Medical College - 5.0 North Hollywood, CA Job Details Part-time 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification English Bachelor's degree Classroom experience Classroom Teaching Full Job Description Overview The Healthcare Administrative Instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction to students through classroom lectures, discussions, and applied learning activities related to healthcare administration and medical office operations. This position prepares students with the knowledge, administrative skills, and professional standards necessary for success in healthcare settings. The instructor is also responsible for maintaining current industry knowledge and utilizing effective teaching methods in accordance with institutional policies and educational objectives. Responsibilities Prepare lectures, lesson plans, and curriculum development materials, and attend faculty and staff development meetings. Instruct students in subject areas by answering questions related to course theory and practical application, including demonstrations of skills required in the trade. Demonstrate knowledge of the use and maintenance of tools and equipment, as well as HIPAA compliance requirements. Plan and supervise student work, both individually and in small group settings. Test and evaluate student achievement in theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Maintain accurate student records, including daily attendance and grades, verify student sign-in accuracy, and keep the Director of Operations informed of student issues through appropriate reporting procedures. Follow established policies and procedures and utilize all required forms and documentation. Develop and maintain professional relationships with employers and businesses relevant to the field. Qualifications Must have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience. Must have a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or a related field. Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English. Must possess strong communication skills. Must be able to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions. Must possess a valid CPR certification or be willing and able to obtain CPR certification upon employment. Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
