Position Overview:
To help students learn subjects to pass the GED exams.Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Instruct students on material needed in order to earn their GED. Teach basic skills encompassing math, science, English, and Social Studies. Help students prepare and study for GED exams. Assess students' readiness to take exam. Create projects designed to enhance lectures. Utilize various curriculum resources. Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans. Work with program lead to ensure initiatives are being met. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. Observe and evaluate student's performance. Manage student behavior in the classroom.Minimum Requirements:
As set by the State certification requirements for the teaching area: GED (107) 1-2 years of experience teaching GED Prior experiences working in an environment with adult learnersPreferred Requirements:
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.Application Process:
