Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Academic Instructor and Testing Administrator provides a variety of educational and vocational services to MassHire youth and adult customers relative to their future employability. Designs, plans, implements, facilitates, and teaches group and individual Hi-SET preparation classes and monitors students' progress. Administers academic and vocational assessments for all job seekers. Works closely with staff and supervisory personnel to ensure a smooth flow of services to MassHire adult and youth customers. Provides oversight of the MassHire Youth and Testing Center during business hours to ensure the accessibility and safety of MassHire customers and staff.

SUGGESTED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Demonstrated ability to communicate with individuals from diverse socioeconomic and multi-cultural backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to design, facilitate, teach and implement curriculum, evaluation systems and forms and coordinate materials to deliver workshops and classroom instruction. Bachelor's degree required. At least two years' relevant teaching experience is required. Ability to teach basic, intermediate, and advanced academics preferred; experience with individualized self-paced education programs preferred; working knowledge of computer hardware and software used in industry today desirable. Related teaching experience desired. Valid driver's license and access to own transportation required.

HOURS:

In-Person, 35 hours/week Monday

•Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm

SALARY RANGE

$58,200

•$65,500 Plus Great Benefits!
