Department Adult Education Position Type Non-Exempt Employment Status Part-Time Salary $14.00 / Hourly Open Date 11/12/2025 Close Date Open Until Filled No Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The purpose of this position is to provide clerical or direct support to the staff, instructors, and students. The Office Assistant is the front line customer service representative with students, faculty, staff, and public. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalency. Six (6) months office/clerical related experience. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy maintaining records. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate courteously and effectively with students, faculty, staff and public. Strong verbal, written and telephone communication skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision to handle multiple tasks, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work professionally with non-traditional and diverse populations. Ability maintain work organized. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree. Higher education experience. Experience with Datatel and WebDMC.
