Job Description

Technician at SoundAround, LLC Technician at SoundAround, LLC in Ivy, Virginia Posted in 2 days ago.

Type:

full-time SoundAround is seeking a team player who likes variety in their work and likes to take on challenges both independently and as part of a small team. Most of all, candidates should be trustworthy, reliable, and willing to learn new things while also showing up with their skills and experience. You will work closely with the owner as a team at times and to receive project instructions and guidance. We offer a unique blend of services including virtual tours, acoustic installation, and live sound. Our customers come from all over and people of all backgrounds are encouraged to reach out. We are LGBTQ+ friendly to all. Some technical aptitude or a quick learner is required- using basic power tools, familiarity with materials and job site or stage etiquette. The ability and willingness to lift 50+ lbs and move quickly when time is short is necessary. An interest in sound, acoustics, or technology is encouraged. Someone who has worked in stage tech and set building would have a great foundation. We are a growing business that can provide work to someone who can wear many hats, but at the start, work will be project and gig-based. Someone who can generate their own business through outreach and networking can earn commission and secure steady work as we grow. Immediate work available as a working interview for the right person. (early arrival Friday 9/4) Professionalism, a good attitude, and a short but well-written non-AI text addressing the desired qualities and sharing your background will get you to the top of the callback list!
