Des Moines, IA Job Details Part-time 15 hours ago Qualifications Master's degree Full Job Description Music Adjunct and Lesson Instructors The Department of Music at Grand View University accepts applications for part-time music faculty. Duties may include private lesson instruction, leading music ensembles, or general education courses including music appreciation, fundamentals of music, and musics of the world. Courses and lessons are face-to-face. We have an immediate need for Fundamentals of Music for Fall 2026.
We offer private instruction in:
Voice, Piano, Guitar, Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion, and Strings. This is a continuous job posting to establish a qualified pool of part-time instructors on an as-needed basis semester-to-semester. All applicants on file will be kept should needs in these areas arise. Application Review of applications will begin immediately. A pre-employment background check is required. Master's degree in Music or a related field required (PhD preferred). Teaching experience in higher education preferred.
