Art Factory Studios and occasionally at various school sites in Pajaro Valley United School District (PVUSD) Reports to :Studio Manager Note :
Please note that we are currently looking for an instructor with experience in wheel-thrown ceramics and mixed media (drawing, painting, fibers, and more) to teach a few weekly classes in studio .Current needs:
Wednesdays:
Hand-built Ceramics (ages 5-8) from 3:30-4:30 pm, Drawing, Painting, and More! (ages 5-7) from 4:30-5:30 pm, and Wheel Thrown Ceramics (ages 10+) from 5:30-7:30 pm- Saturdays (every 3rd Saturday in rotation with two other teachers): Parent & Me (ages 1-5) from 10:30-11:15 am, Fun Fiber Friends (ages 9-14) from 12:00-1:00 pm, Ceramics for Everyone (ages 4+) from 1:00-2:30 pm Assigned classes for teaching may change with opportunities for more help when the next semester's schedule is designed.

All classes follow a designed scope & sequence of lessons for fall semester. In this dynamic role, you will lead engaging art classes, foster a supportive environment for artistic expression, and help students develop their skills across various mediums. Your enthusiasm and expertise will ignite a love for art in learners of all ages and backgrounds, making a meaningful impact on their personal growth and confidence. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging art lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, encouraging experimentation and self-expression- instructional designing hours available, but most lessons already created Prepare instructional materials and supplies to facilitate smooth class sessions Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve techniques and develop their unique artistic voice Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, and respect among students Help maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized studio space in compliance with health and safety standards Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and special projects to enhance the overall learning experience Required Skills Proven experience teaching art or related creative disciplines in an educational setting Proven reliability and attendance Strong proficiency in drawing, painting, fiber arts, and ceramics (including wheel-throwing!
- or willingness to receive clearance with PVUSD Bachelors degree ideally in art
- but flexible based on experience Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed for classes or special events and to substitute teach/assist our in-studio classes or after-school art programs at various school sites within the PVUSD school district "Nice to Have" Skills Proficiency in other various art techniques and mediums such as drawing, painting, sculpture, or digital art An official California Teaching Credential (ideally art•but flexible) Bilingual Some experience with social media content creation•even if it's just personal or for your art business!
