$25-$35/hour, based on experience About the Role We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic 3D Pen Art Instructor to lead an engaging after-school enrichment program for young learners. You'll introduce students to 3D pen art through hands-on projects that combine creativity, design, and problem-solving. Students will learn how to use 3D pens to create shapes, structures, models, and original designs while building confidence in their ability to turn ideas into something real. This role isn't about creating perfect projects. It's about helping students experiment, create, solve problems, and discover what they can build. You do not need to be a professional artist, designer, engineer, or traditional classroom teacher to apply. If you have experience with 3D pens, 3D printing, crafting, design, STEM, or hands-on creative projects and enjoy working with children, we encourage you to apply. What You'll Do Lead engaging, hands-on 3D Pen Art classes Teach students how to safely and effectively use 3D pens Demonstrate techniques for creating lines, shapes, structures, and simple 3D forms Guide students through creative and age-appropriate projects Help students turn ideas and sketches into three-dimensional creations Encourage creativity, experimentation, and problem-solving Introduce basic concepts related to 3D design, structure, and spatial thinking Break projects into clear and manageable steps Adapt activities for different abilities and experience levels Encourage students to personalize and develop their own designs Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Provide encouragement and constructive feedback Promote safe and responsible use of 3D pens and materials Maintain an organized and welcoming classroom Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff Arrive prepared, dependable, and ready to engage students Qualifications We're looking for someone who: Has experience or familiarity with 3D pens, 3D printing, digital fabrication, crafting, design, STEM, or hands-on creative projects Enjoys working with children and encouraging creativity Can clearly demonstrate and explain techniques Is patient, enthusiastic, and encouraging Is comfortable leading groups of students Can adapt activities for different abilities and skill levels Understands basic tool and material safety Has strong communication and interpersonal skills Is reliable, professional, and organized Can follow provided curriculum while bringing creativity to the classroom Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required. Experience in 3D design, 3D printing, art, engineering, STEM, maker programs, tutoring, camps, youth programs, mentoring, or related fields is a plus.
