PART TIME

instructors to conduct hands-on After School Programs in various schools in the Denver metro area . Instructors will conduct after school classes 2-3 days per week depending on availability. Therefore, afternoon availability between 2:00 and 4:00 pm is required. Pay $25-33/hour for each 1.5-2 hour shift. Training is paid. Mileage too!

Specifically looking for instructors who:

Are located in the Denver metro area. We have opportunities available in North Denver (Thornton/Westminster), West Denver (Arvada/Lakewood), and South Denver (Littleton/Centennial). Are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays from 2:00 - 4:00 PM (must be available at least 2 afternoons per week). Have prior classroom experience or a demonstrated ability to independently manage and teach a group of up to 20 children on their own. Can commit to at least the Fall season (September to December). Are available to begin assignments in early September. Imagine Arts Academy Our unique approach allows kids to use art concepts and techniques as a way to interact with and learn about the world. We put the emphasis on art as a problem-solving tool, as a career path, as a way to learn about different places and cultures, and more. Kids learn many different techniques like sculpting, illustration, painting, and textile artistry Projects are based on the children's interpretation of each week's theme. Kids make a different in-class project every week! Perfect for kids ages 5-12 Mad Science We are the same team running both Imagine Arts Academy and Mad Science, and are looking for instructors who are open to teaching both. Mad Science is the world's leading science enrichment provider. We deliver unique science experiences for children. We specialize in teaching in a workshop style, meaning K-5 students in one class, working on hands-on science experiments. The main qualities we look for in applicants: A willingness to learn and take helpful feedback Flexible schedule/afternoon availability Good sense of humor Patience Clear and punctual communication skills Enjoy and have experience working with school-aged children (5-11 years grades K-5th) Have access to dependable transportation Age 19+ Must have at least 2 afternoons available (approximately 2:00 to 4:00pm Monday through Thursday) This job will offer A great resume building experience of teaching art classes.
