The teacher will provide engaging, age-appropriate instruction, foster a positive classroom environment, and encourage students to use their gifts in ways that honor God. This is a one-year appointment for the 2026-2027 school year with the potential for continued employment based upon future staffing needs, organizational structure, and performance. Essential Responsibilities Develop engaging lessons across a variety of visual art disciplines, including two-dimensional and three-dimensional media. Instruct students in techniques such as drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, design, and other appropriate visual arts. Foster creativity, craftsmanship, critical thinking, and artistic growth in each student. Maintain a safe, organized, and well-equipped art classroom and responsibly manage materials and supplies. Assess student learning and provide timely feedback, grading, and communication with students and families. Display and celebrate student artwork throughout the school year. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, chapels, and other school activities as appropriate. Model Christlike character and actively support the mission and vision of Lighthouse Christian Academy.
