Job Description - Art Studio Instructor Artistic Adventure Cataloochee Ranch is a Relais & Châteaux resort that mixes classic ranch fun with exceptional accommodations and cuisine. Founded almost a hundred years ago by the Alexander family, Cataloochee Ranch has been a favorite mountain getaway for generations of high-country adventurers. Spread across hundreds of acres along the southeastern border of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the property's breathtaking elevation, open balds, and long-range views are complemented by classic comforts, perfectly rustic cuisine, humble hospitality, and hands-on, expert-led activities. Our Artist & Adventure team members have an important role in awakening creativity, fostering connection and guiding adventures for our guests. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring the engaging and efficient operation of our Art Studios & activities. The primary responsibility is leading classes of various art forms including but not limited to: wheel pottery, hand building and glazing, painting, dying, leather work, flower press, bead work and hat design. Assist the Guest Services team with all duties & responsibilities such as check in/out, Guest assistance & coorespondence, reservations, concierge duties, etc. Be safety-minded and care for the land, animals and property Be responsible for upkeep of studios and equipment, including reports and record logs, up to date on service and inspection. Communicate needs to Adventure Manager & seek support when needed Review guest bookings for expectations & accuracy Educate & inspire teammates to create the best possible experience for the guests Review and post charges
Minimum Requirements:
High school degree or equivalent. Strong interpersonal skills and desire to inspire others to create. Decision-making, organizational skills and the ability to appropriately prioritize tasks. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, computer skills required. Strong guest and team member relationship building skills while maintaining a professional and diplomatic demeanor.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting/Carrying up to 50 lbs. Ability to drive a company vehicle. Enjoy working in the great outdoors and ability to traverse mountainous terrain.
