This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead engaging arts programs that nurture children's imagination, enhance their skills in visual and performing arts, and promote self-expression. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, innovative lesson planning, and strong classroom management skills to create a positive and enriching environment for young learners. Duties Develop and implement diverse curriculum plans that cover visual arts, dance, theater, music, photography, sewing, culinary arts, and other creative disciplines Lead engaging after-school sessions that encourage active participation and foster artistic growth among students of various ages and skill levels Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Incorporate choreography, dance instruction, musical instrument demonstrations, and performance techniques into lessons to enhance student engagement Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate children with special needs or early childhood education requirements Guide students in projects such as painting, sculpture, dance routines, theater productions, musical performances, or culinary activities Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic development Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational or youth program settings; background in early childhood education or preschool experience is highly desirable Strong knowledge of visual & performing arts including teaching arts, choreography, dance instruction, theater experience, teaching music, and instrumental performance Skilled in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development principles Familiarity with specialized arts disciplines such as sewing, photography, ballet dancing, culinary arts or special education is a plus Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and adapt lessons for different learning styles Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage parents or guardians when necessary Enthusiasm for fostering creativity through innovative arts activities and youth programs teaching experience is preferred Join us in shaping young minds through the vibrant world of arts!
