Duties Develop and implement comprehensive art curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, including preschool, early childhood, and elementary students Plan and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate various artistic mediums, techniques, and cultural themes to stimulate creativity Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to artistic exploration Incorporate child development principles and early intervention strategies into lesson planning to support individual student needs Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including first aid and CPR certifications, during all classroom activities Assess student work through standardized testing methods and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, special education accommodations, and inclusive teaching practices Qualifications Proven experience in teaching art or related creative subjects to children in preschool or early childhood settings Strong knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, classroom management, and child welfare best practices Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education techniques related to arts instruction Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering a nurturing environment for young learners Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred Knowledge of math integration within art projects or physical education activities is a plus Private school or preschool teaching experience will be considered an asset Join us in shaping the next generation of creative thinkers!
